This month, one of the main focuses in our room was around teamwork. The children had a great time doing tons of team activities together. We started off by playing tag games outside. It was so much fun running around, trying to catch each other. The children learnt the importance of communication and cooperation as they strategized and worked together to win the game. Next, the room got super creative as the children built forts together. Using our big blocks, blankets, beanbags and curtains, their imaginations created great forts. It was great to see everyone share ideas to incorporate into their forts. We also went on scavenger hunts around the room. As the children were divided into teams, it was a great opportunity for everyone to practice problem-solving and teamwork skills. One of the highlights of the month was creating art together. We had a variety of different art materials where they all contributed their skills. It was incredible to see how our different styles and ideas came together to create beautiful pieces. Of course, we couldn't forget about playing with kinetic sand! We worked together to build sandcastles, sculptures, foods, animals and even played a game of "guess the shape" where we had to mold objects and have others guess what they were. It was a fantastic sensory experience that encouraged teamwork and creativity. In the gym, we played various team games like relay races, dodgeball, capture the flag and obstacle courses. We cheered each other on, encouraged teamwork, and celebrated wins together. To end each day on a calm note, we had yoga sessions led by different kids. It was amazing to see how they confidently guided us through different poses and breathing exercises. Everyone felt so relaxed and connected as we practiced mindfulness and unity. Overall, it was an amazing month filled with laughter, friendship, and lots of teamwork. We learned the importance of working together, supporting each other, and celebrating our achievements!
