For the educators, we had a super cool workshop all about loose parts! Inspired from the workshop, we sent a letter to parents asking them to share any of their extra loose parts with us so that children can create and build, things like cartons, lids, glasses and more! It was like a playground of possibilities! We got to use these everyday things to build and create whatever we wanted! And Corpus children had so much fun building with things of different loose stuff! We used cartons, lids, glasses and egg trays. it was like a treasure hunt of cool things we could use to make stuff. D and K teamed up to make a small car for one person. They use all kinds of things like cartons and lids to put it together. it was like a little magic car they made with their hands. K said "Monika I have an idea to make a single seated car." Monika said "Go ahead!"

Then there is M who used a box from a yogurt tube to make a shaker. She shook it and it made music! It was like her own little music maker, and everyone enjoyed the sounds. M's mom said "we played a lot with the music at home!" But wait there is more. L decided to build a whole castle using loose parts. She stacked and arranged things to make a big castle. It was like a fairy tale in our play area. "The Queen stays in the castle" said L.

And here comes X. He made a robot using all sorts of cool stuff. It looked like a real robot. His dad was amazed and happy to see all that he created. We love doing things the Reggio Emilia way. That means we use our imaginations a lot and work together to make awesome things. It's not just about building with stuff; it's about having fun and being creative with our friends.
