Today we continued our exploration with salt dough and loose parts. There was lots of conversation happening as the children manipulated and worked the dough with their hands and inserting loose parts. This also scaffolded on the children’s exploration with enveloping and enclosing. “Press” NA said “Adding lots!” DS said “rolly poly, rolly poly “ LS sang, “There we go! I got it!” SM said “Poke, poke, poke” said DS. RA and NA held the salt dough up to there faces and began to smell it, DS tried some taste testing making a face when it touched his tongue - was it salty? Hmmm..
