August 2024
This summer, our group has
been gravitating towards the marble runs and this time they wanted to
challenge themselves by making a bigger track! M.M began assembling a “regular”
marble course where the marbles will start, then work their way down through the
wooden trail! S.R even said “M.M is the marble master!” M.F, G.M, J.M, J.D, and
S.R went through a few trials and errors because they wanted to stop the
marbles from falling off the tracks. They found out by stacking the wooden
blocks, the “wall” would be high enough to stop the marbles! S.R had an idea to
add rainbow track pieces inside of the tube. We were curious as to why he
wanted it this way and asked, “would it make the marbles move faster?” S.R
became curious and after testing, they found out the marbles moved at the same
speed. The children have shown great teamwork as they continue to work together
to make fun and unique marble courses!
