Over the last couple of months the children have been continuing to enjoy using the marble works. They have been working together building larger and more elaborate tracks for the marbles to race through. To further support this interest we decided to challenge the group with marble painting. At first the children were unsure how they could paint with the marbles, but after dumping a paint covered marble into a tray with paper, they began to understand how by shaking and tipping the tray the marbled would roll along the paper leaving a track as it moved. With a little practice they began to feel more confident with using more marbles and some children even used three at a time! The children also learned that they needed to move the tray slowly to ensure the marbles didn't bounce out. If it did, they would pick the marble up placing it back on the tray exclaiming "Oh! Oh! Pspaghetti!"
