At the end of the month, a group of our school age girls got together and created their very own dance routines! K.L, K.B, and S.S wanted to teach one the younger students, L.C, a step-by-step routine. L.C is just getting into dance and appreciated having the girls by her side as coaches! They first had to pick out a song and everyone decided on ‘Blank Space’ by Taylor Swift! The girls worked together to figure out what dance moves go best with the different beats of the song and this came naturally to them! They even wrote out the steps on a piece of paper to remember for the next few days, great idea ! Their routine was completed within a few days and it was so exciting to watch their final performance! They did amazing, everyone was so encouraging and in great spirits! Once they easily completed the first song, they moved onto ‘Love Story’ by Taylor Swift and ‘Believer’ by Imagine Dragons (great song choices). It was very special to see the girls bond together over music and inspire one another to step outside of their comfort zones! Dancing will definitely be a continuing activity in our school age program!
