The children have been spending a lot of time using the art materials in the room to create stories, and illustrations! I’ve watched the children take down markers, crayons and large pieces of paper to create their pictures and stories together or independently. As a group, the children have been using our Old Black Fly story to create unique graphics and designs. The children are using a number of skills to mimic the images they are seeing, and interpreting what the words are telling them. We discuss the letters in the story and what they represent, the colours and specific details in the pictures to create the end product in their drawings!
