Shelby had metal springs from close pins leftover from creating his marble track game so he decided to use them in a new creation. Shelby began by attaching the two springs with tape to secure them in place. He moved them back and forth to test the durability and continued to tape them until they were just right. He found two buttons, one larger than the other and positioned them so you could see “two eyes”.He had cut two small pieces of cardboard to be “they’re ears” and attached two of them on top of the eyes.Shelby showcased phenomenal fine motor skills and determination throughout this whole process as he created a petite creation, with so much detail. Shelby attached the last rectangle piece to the front spring and attached the button to it.
