After letting the children know that we were heading outside in a few minutes I observed Landon collecting three items from our loose part bin. He grabbed a seat belt buckle, a u-bolt and a clevis. Landon had a plan, but it could not be executed without the help of his peers. He climbed up the tree and selected the perfect branch to attach the u-bolt to then he attached the seat belt to the u-bolt. As he was connecting these loose parts to the tree it captured his peer’s attention. They all wanted to know what he was doing and wanted to be a part of his creation. With the assistance of his peers they managed to make a tire swing that could support the weight of his peers.
