National Child Day
In celebration of National Child Day, we decided to celebrate our individuality by creating a “Paper Quit”.Each child designed their own “square” for the quilt incorporating their name and drawings of things they enjoy. The only requirement was that their name be on the art.
The children gathered around the table with the markers, crayons and pastels. They were excited about what they created sharing their designs with their peers and educators. Some finished the same day, others took a week and some took them home to work on. We are excited to have incorporated all their work into a mosaic of what they felt represented them which in turn represents the room as a whole.
