Today RM was painting at the easel. First, she started to make long brush strokes vertically on the paper. After filling the middle of the paper RM then began to explore making dots around the page, carefully dipping her brush in the blue paint, taking time to examine it on the brush before intentionally dapping it on the paper, applying different pressure each time. RM then progressed to using her fingers to make the dots on the paper, placing each finger in the paint one at a time then touching the paper doting and swishing the paint adding to her work.
Watching RM work was fascinating, although she was not expressing her ideas vocally, you could see by her body language she had a clear idea of how she wanted her art to look like, as each stroke and dap was placed with great intent.
RM worked for a long time, on her painting. When she was done, she leaned back a smiled to herself.
You could feel her sense of accomplish at that moment.
