“DRAWING IS NOT WHAT ONE SEES BUT WHAT ONE CAN MAKE OTHERS SEE”- EDGAR DEGAS

The school age program has been exploring free hand drawing since September. Throughout the year it has developed into many different aspects, for example, self – expression, comics, stories and using objects and books as an inspiration for drawing and tracing. We have seen the school age children grow in their ability to draw and use their imagination. In their drawings they have added different elements, for example, multi-dimensional and coloured textures. One of the most important processes in drawing is taking your time, and throughout the year we have observed the children spend the whole program drawing one picture
