hard wired for relationships and social interactions. This can be seen in us
right from infancy. Infant’s first experience in relationships and social
interactions begin with their parents. As children grow and develop their
ability to build relationships and interact socially grows as well. Over the
month of January we have been noticing our infants developing a genuine interest
in wanting to participate in a reciprocal play and delighting in each other’s joy.
They are moving from independent play to more parallel and cooperative play. We
are supporting this by arranging the physical space as well as the materials in
the room to support and extend these social relationships.
