Shelby has been very resourceful and creative with some of the materials in our loose parts/ recycling centre. One day he purposely gathered cardboard, toothpicks, cardboard rolls, tongue depressors and ribbon to create a fully functional homemade toy car. Aside from building toy cars, he has been observed building sleds, hockey sticks and even mazes from recyclables. He radiates with excitement throughout our centre with his hardwork, dedication and innovation in creating toys. We are thrilled that he has decided to display many of his creations in the school age room as well as the toddler room. Looks like we have a future engineer in the centre (so we think!) I wonder what he will create next!
