During the month of February, the children focused their play on building and creating structures using many different objects. We gave the children various sized cardboard boxes and were amazed at their brainstorming skills. Each child decided what they would transform their box into and what materials they would need. Once they had their boxes, they used scissors, tape, markers and other materials to make their ideas come to life.
O: “Mine is a house. I made these flaps on the top so that when I lift up all sides, they will meet at the top to make the roof of the house. Houses need a roof”.
When O lifted all the flaps, the roof was formed and he stuck it together with tape. He was really proud of his house.
