brought in some kinetic sand from home to play with! She used a tile to put it
on and found a jar of loose parts from our loose parts shelf and began making
impressions with the different objects she found such as a milk bag tag,
different gems, caps and lids. Other children took interest in Alexa’s kinetic sand wanting to know where she got it from, asking to play with it etc. The children then decided they wanted to make their own kinetic sand. The children researched on materials needed and planned a "kinetic sand workshop". Their sand didn't work out as planned, but this opened the idea to other concoctions and science experines. Stay tuned...
