What holds such excitement in the act of watching a feather fall to the floor?
The feather does not act in the way that you would expect a ball or other object to simply drop. It dances as it moves through the air; slowly and ever so gracefully, changing its motion with even the merest stirring of air.
Is that element of unpredictability and uncertainty in the feather’s movements responsible for capturing the children’s attention??
