Board of Directors 2011 - 2012
The Board of Directors for the Schoolhouse Playcare Centre of Lakehead Inc. are all volunteer members who are dedicated to the quality care and education that the Centre provides.
The Board meets ten times a year to discuss issues directly involving the centre. Each Board Member is responsible for attending these meetings and assigned a committee to head. The Committee Head is responsible for canvassing interested parents to help out on sub-committees. The sub-committees will assist with one project that the Centre is involved in.
The Board Members are involved in the operation of the Centre, the business, fund-raising, hiring of staff, future goals and objectives and other pertinent areas. The Annual General Meeting is held in the fall and notification will go out in advance for all members.

Organization
North and South Centres of the Schoolhouse Playcare Centre of Lakehead Inc.
- Board of Directors: Involved in the overall operation of the centres
- Executive Director: Overall supervision of all programmes and centres
- Head Educator/Coordinator: One for each location; oversees daily operation of centres and participates in the programme
- Resource Consultant: Consults, provides resources and support for families and educators in our inclusive child care centres
- Registered Early Childhood Educator: Responding to individual children's needs, implementing the Reggio Emilia approach to learning, corresponding with parents about their children.
- Food Preparer: Planning and preparing all meals and snacks in accordance with the Canada Food Guide
